Eggshells are fragile, as are dreams, but they are also full of promise and new life. This piece represents an empty nest - my chicks are learning to fly, and now it is my time. The stacked porcelain eggshells are flowers blooming like my creative dreams, and the gold represents the preciousness of dreams and how valuable they are. As a Mum, you are often in the shadows, but the shadows are important, here they add so much to the changing beauty of the artwork. Glazed porcelain with 22K gold highlights, with some of the shells edged in gold enamel paint, mounted on clear acrylic back, ready to hang. 32”x32”
