Abstract Pieces

Casting Shadows

Inspired by Mid-Century design and my love of creating artwork that has a shadow element. Organic shapes of white porcelain glazed with a creamy satin glaze mounted on a painted wooden panel. 24'“x36”x1.5”

Hearts of Gold

Organic forms of black and white porcelain glazed with a variety of glazes in different textures and sheens with 22k gold added to a form on each panel to portray the heart of the piece. Made as a diptych. 24”x36”x1”

Textured Wall Tiles

Wall tiles made from a stoneware clay slab. Texture has been inlaid into the clay and highlighted with gloss and satin glazes. The background has been stained with iron oxide to bring out the full depth of the textured finish.

Each series of wall tiles are uniquely textured and patterned.

Dragon Eggs

I made these pieces for the top window in my kitchen cabinets, but they would look just at home in the garden or on a table top.

Hollow stoneware clay eggs, decorated with iron oxide and satin glazes, with highlights of white gloss glaze.
